Buying Salt Lake City homes and condos during or after a job change can be done and most of the time it's no big deal. A couple things that could cause a problem getting approved for a mortgage include big gaps between jobs, switching careers completely, taking a pay cut and some people have problems getting approved for a loan if part or all of their pay is based on commission and there isn't enough of a track record to determine how much they make.
The best bet is to plan ahead and consult a lender or two, prior to your job or career change to make sure everything works out the way you want it too.
If your plan is to move from one home to another, just putting your home on the market isn’t enough. Your home will need to be ready to show and you’ll need a strategy to accomplish the sale and purchase of another home in a reasonable time frame.
